Many paintings are specially commissioned by clients worldwide including aviation and automotive companies, Government departments, Museums, publishers, Air Forces, postal authorities, motoring organisations and private individuals/collectors.
Motoring commissions have often come from owners of classic cars who want to have a painting of their car shown in its original timeframe, either in a race event or a specific venues.
On the other hand, aviation paintings have been commissioned to show aircraft flown by either the client or family members in the past, eg. WW2. Again specific events or locations have often been required. Companies, airlines, governments and Air Forces have all specified actual aircraft in action in a variety of eras and settings.
Anything is possible – even projects that have never been built. Once your requirements are established, sketch ideas together with prices for alternative sizes and media can be sent for approval.
However, I should add that, as I am now well past the official retirement age, I am reducing my painting workload to pursue a number of alternative activities and enjoy some leisure time.
Remarques & Personalised Prints
All prints have adequate borders on which remarques can be drawn by hand in pencil. These are usually an extra cost of £50 each although it is sometimes preferable to add 2 smaller drawings.
All prints can be personalised for specific events, commemorations, etc at no extra cost if required. These are handwritten in pencil on the print border.
